Need help identifying these lines

Hi all,

I will eventually get through all of my sailing newbie questions; but in the meantime, can you guys help me identify these lines? These are not the best pictures, but there is one on each side of the boom. The ends are connected at the two positions shown in the first image and there is a pully on each.

Your sailcover probably has slots to allow then to pass thru

Thanks, everyone! Now that I know what they are I can study up on how to use them.

The blocks should attach to the mast by a line on either side, somewhere around the spreaders.
