H-33.5 Steaming light bulb.

Ken, On my 1990 H-33.5 the Steaming Light is Perko and the bulb is Perko 71-DP-CLR and is 12V, 10W. They are available at West Marine-Boat/US and probably at Boaters World and marina stores. They are what is called 'Festoon' bulbs with cone shaped tips on each end. Good luck with the replacement. You may want to bend the contacts a little toward the center to ensure good contact. The tips fit into small holes in the contact strips. A little Dielectric grease on contacts wouldn't hurt. Dick

Thanks Dick

I have heard that a thin coating of silicone grease at the contact points will help keep the moisture out. The contact points of the bulb will be able to penetrate the grease for good electrical contact while keeping the rest sealed.
