They simply charged me and supposedly put the "new" tank into the tank pool. In case you didn't know - In the East they exchange your current tank for a full one when you bring it in for a fill. So you never get the same tank with a new full one.

here; a 2,500 pound tank exchange for about $30. These tanks are all used and certified. I carry two tanks on board. Last season during our two month cruise I used the stove every day and consumed about 2,000 pounds. I think if Glen looks around one will pop up. Lots of them around. Terry

They also exchange tanks in the west. We are currently paying about $15 for a filled exchange tank. No sense in purchasing a new tank when you are going to get a rusty one in exchange.

...thay have a good grasp on you. So there isn't much control of the purchase price. They charge you for a new one and pocket the money!
