Need Ballast for my Mariner

Where is the best general place to source lead for ballast? I've checked the local dive shop and metal recycle place. Either too expensive or I have to get out the cutting torch.

Where have you all had luck finding lead? Thanks!!

Batteries, best bang for the buck 'cuz you can actually use them for something worthwhile instead of dead weight.

Anyplace that sells or recycles tires might have some wheel weights you could use. I put 115 lb's of wheel weights in my 15' daysailer for ballast.
