I just bought a 1975 C-15. Everything appears to be there and in workable condition except the deck is coming loose from the hull. Right now the separation is about 18 in. long on the starboard bow. Previous owner said he capsized boat and it turtled and completely filled up with water. It looks like I can remove the entire deck from the hull, check and add flotation as needed, and re-attach the deck. Is this a reasonable approach? What material/adhesive do you recommend for re-attaching? Should there be some foam flotation material in the hull already? What foam or material do you recommend for new flotation? Is there a source for the rubber molding/edge that now covers that top edge of the hull/deck? I'm very hands on and have no problem dealing with foams, fiberglass, epoxies, etc. I appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks.
