Need a new Hatch for Hunter 25 (1974)

I'm looking to replace my badly damaged forehatch with a new aluminum or stainless model from Lewmar or Bomar. The only problem is the old hatch combing doesn't match any of their "standard" cut-out sizes. I'm just curious if anyone else has done something similar to their old hunters and how they did it. Erik 1974 Hunter 25, "Genesis"

Teak Frame?

You might be able to construct a teak frame upon which you mount your new hatch. However, cutting the frame to match the curve of the deck will be challanging. Good luck.

Foreward deck hatch

I replaced the hatch on my 77 Hunter, I found a person at my marina who did fibre glass work. He made a new hatch, using the old one as the mold. He did a great job and the cost was not bad.
