Since new I fitted my 260 with a Saturn Aquametre compass. Then trying to get a cover has been impossible. With the intense sun exposure down under it is now not only unreadable (the card has faded) but the actual clear dome is cracked.
Does anyone know of a compass model that will fit exactly into the round bulkhead recess on the 260? I would dearly like to buy a compass from a reputable company like Suunto. The actual card on the original compass was 60mm.
PS: Never again would I purchase a re-branded product. In this case it was also known as a Rule or a Danforth. Try finding product information and availability of things like a compass cover from these, what I call "rebranders with no conscience" is "impossible".
