Need a Lazarette hatch cover

I need to put a hatch hole (and hatch cover for it) where the cockpit seat currently has an outline for one (in the cockpit, directly under the tiller) on my 1978 Venture 21. I'm told that this is called a Lazarette and it was an added option when the boat was new. Unfortunately, the first owner apparently didn't want to spring for the extra $50. I want to mount a folding swim ladder to the stern and I need access to the inside of the transom to do it properly. Also, that will give me access to the nuts on the bottom of the hardware on the sides that need tightening without trying to skinny thru those narrow little slots under the cockpit seats! I can cut out the hole okay, I think, but before I do that, I need a proper hatch cover. The front deck hatch appears to be the same size and shape as what the Lazarette should end up being and its 17.5" wide x 19.5" long. Does anyone have any idea where I could find something like this or a front hatch cover from a v21 thats been scrapped?? Any suggestions or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
