Need a fuel filter recommendation

We have an 87' C27 with the M18 Universal. So many water / fuel separators to look at. Without spending a fortune or going overkill which Racor model would do the job for this motor? Landlocked in Illinois, fresh water, midwest heat and humidity. Current factory setup with a engine mounted spin on filter and the electric lift pump with screen filter.

I've got the M-18 with the standard spin on filter, haven't had any problems, the filter is Wix 33390. I've thought of installing an extra fuel/water separator but don't want anymore "extras" in the fuel system that could foul up.
