need a c22 trailer

is there any one in the sarasota, bradenton or venice area that has an old trailer for a c22 for sail cheap(not much money to spend)I just want to pull a 71 c22 that I just bought to dobottom, check keel and through hulls. I have a trailer for a 22 foot power boat, but was told it would not work. Will consider renting trailer for up to two weeks.Only going 10 miles. Also, I have a Chev s10 truck rated for 2000 #total weight and 200 # tongue weight. Has any one had good experience with such a rig to pull c22 out and trailer?Thanks in advanceLee

bigger truck=big brakes

Lee,One thing to think about is braking power. That is why I recomend the bigger truck. I got myself in a bad spot towing a small jeep, WWII era, with my El Camino. Not enough truck weight and not enough brakes. Go slow, pick a time of day when the trafic is light, and have fun with what you got. That's what this is all about!Jay
