Hello, From the factory in our 2012 Hunter 50AC there was a 2nd fuel tank under the galley floor. It has a fuel line going to the aft fuel tank and there is a small breaker saying fuel pump on the major panel with the main battery switches under the seat ahead of the galley. I want to transfer fuel from the extra tank to the main tank, but pushing the fuel pump breaker in doesn't seem to do anything and I don't hear any fuel transfer. Does anybody know how Hunter set this up ???? Or who to contact to ask ??? Thank you very much Derek

It seems to me the fuel pump should be controlled by an automatic switch that turns the pump off when the tank is empty or unused and not with a breaker which would continue to power and possibly burnout the pump when running in an empty tank. You need to look for a another transfer switch. There is peril involved using a circuit breaker as a light switch.

Thanks, but I haven't found a pump much less a float switch. The fuel hose goes straight to the tank with a small filter just before the tank. I will open the panel with the fuel pump breaker to see if it even goes anywhere. Thanks

Call the forum store and talk to either Al or Mike who are former Hunter employees. Maybe they can involve Joe Kerr with your issue as he designed the electrical systems
