I downloaded the US & Canada version of Navionics to my Droid X last night. So far I'm not very happy as it times out during the map downloads and/or crashes fairly often. :cussing:

Is anyone else seeing this kind of issue with the current version?

I use the Android EarthNC Lite

$0.00 and works pretty well. :D

I have the same navionics on a droid Razr. No issues, but I seem to recall an issue a while back that was resolved pretty easily. Try restarting the phone completely after install. If that doesn't work, then the license did not set up right, un-install it, reboot the phone and redownload and reinstall. Earth NC lite and Earth NC are good secondary programs, but there are definitely some features in the Navionics (like the uploads and community sections as well as much more compact chart storage, and unlimited chart downloads in your service area.) Lastly, I would recommend downloading the charts on wifi if able...it was most expeditious.

I had a similar problem, and it was a simple fix. Navionics was attempting to install the charts on the micro sd card, which I had not installed. Once I installed the memory card, restarted the phone, and restarted the app download, all worked fine.

Looks like it was an incompatibility between the West Coast Lakes version and the Marine & Lakes Us & Canada version. Uninstalled both, reinstalled US & Canada and it's working fine now. Whoo hoo!

Can you try the Canada EarthNC as well

Currently have no use for Canadian charts, but it would be interesting to see if it can be done.
