Navik windvane installation. Help

Hi all, I set off this morning to fit my Navik mounting bracket to the transom only to find that the instructions demand 80/90cm from the waterline to the placing of the bracket. On my Vega, this is in the air!
How have others solved this? I would greatly appreciate any photos of the fitting and those of the tiller lines. Thanks Chris

Chris,
The Navik mounts to the aft of the cockpit combing, not the transom. You may need to lengthen the arms on the big "U" shaped bracket, depending on what boat it was mounted on before. I discovered mine had been lengthened when I installed a propane locker and had to shorten them again.

'Vik' helms my Vega more than I do, and certainly does a lot better job sailing to windward!
