Nav Station Wiggly Light annoyance

Is anyone else annoyed by the Wiggly Light at the nav station of the 30's? its in the way of opening the top, its in the way of opening the power panel, and it never stays where you put it. i'm considering removing it and putting a nice piece of small teak over the hole. I'll put a light bar above the power panel so it will light up that as well as the nav desk..

am i the only one that doesn't like this wiggly light?

You mean the nab station light Didn't know it had a name!

Sure, do what you want to with it. I did away with ours years ago, because it got, well, wiggly. I have clip on LED instead, but hardly ever use it, that's why I didn't mind losing the OEM light, and covered up the hole with a piece of teak.
