My Nauta flexible holding tank emits a terrible odor. It was never pleasant, but it has gotten worse as time goes on. I checked all the fittings, re-tightened everything, and checked for leaks. I can't find a thing. Should this have some kind of charcoal filter attached to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the odor inside the boat, only out the vent or both?
If it's inside the boat, check the seams and the tank for fraying and chafe-through. If you only have odor out the vent, that's an unfortunate characteristic of bladder tanks, and why they aren't a good choice for waste holding...because they're designed to hug the contents and expand and contract, there isn't enough airspace to provide sufficient air/oxygen to keep the contents aerobic...which is the key to eliminating odor. If it's gotten worse recently, try thoroughly flushing out the tank with plenty of clean water...and try a product called Odorlos instead of whatever you're using now. Neither will cure the problem completely, but it should help.
