National Sails.....No Way!!!

Don't do it.... I ordered a 163% genoa from Dirk at National. Sail arrived but it was not up to the advertised specs. He told me to send the sail back for replacement which I did. Cost of shipping, $46. After a total of 12 weeks the second sail arrived. Not up to specs again. At this point I came to the conclusion that I was not going to receive the correct sail and decided not to pursue it any further. I have contacted Dirk twice about my reimbursement of the $46 shipping but he refuses to respond. I'm glad you asked.... I wouldn't reccommend National Sail to anyone. Sean

NSS was great to me

I bought Two sails for my C30 TR one 150 genny in 04 and a full batten main in 05 the sales men took alot of time with me worked up the right sails to fit my boat, taller then normal, extra roach, extra reef points , cut to clear my bimine, ect.The sails was built just like i wanted all the work was great the sail showed when they said it would. The sales men called me when the sail was shiped, then called a few weeks later to see if i liked the way it sailed.I dont think dirk was my sails men.I talked to him in 06 about makeing a 120 rf head sail for my C30 but i did not like what he had to say and i did not buy the sail .I did not seem to hit it off with dirk . The sail was alot more money then it was the year before I will try them again. John

I had an experience similar to John. Got a 150 genoa, correct sail, on time, as ordered, no problems. Paid half up front and half on delivery. I'd use them again.
