Okie dokie. 'Privateer' is now on her trailer and ready to be hauled over to Musquidoboit Harbour and launched this coming Sunday. Whether she will be in a slip or on a mooring has not yet been decided. The only thing left to do structurally is tuning the standing rigging. I was working on that sunday past when the port turnbuckle for the main shroud decided to bind up. I was not able to fee it up so need to make another trip in Halifax to pick up an new barrel for it and I suppose the starboard side as well so they match up in size. Without any specs on this boat we will try initially a 2 to 3 degree rake on the mast and see how she handles. We're using a 'Loo's gauge' and going by their standard recomendations for tension of the stays and shrouds. There is some minor cosmetic work to be done but all in all she should be quite sailable as she sits now. Its been a long 2 years in bringing her back to life. The outboard was running rough after the carb cleaning so it is now in the shop for a tune up engine and gear oil change as well as a general once over. We will post some pictures once she is again in the water.
