The name on my boat (which was painted on) has been partially removed. It is very tacky looking. I'd like to remove it entirely and use vinyl lettering for the new name. Any suggestions as to how to remove the painted on name? Thanks.
Sherry: You just need to spray on Oven Off. Let it set for 5-15 min. depending on the temp and scrub with a brush. Rinse with water and reapply as necessary. When you are done you will probably notice a slight rise in the gel coat. I would recommend a light sanding with a very fine sandpaper and you are ready to reapply your vinyl lettering. The Oven Off will not hurt your gel coat. Steve Dion s/v Heather Marie
