Found a web site (www.tcsn.net/bosun/c30) through a search for C30 wiring diagram at www.sailnet.com. Has some great stuff for C30's. Anyway, the mystery wire is the ground wire for the lights on the mast (anchor, bow, and spreader). Even after all the previous owners, the wire colors still match the original factory schematic.
