mystery part - mast track piece

like a bonehead, i've gone and lost that metal piece that allows me to load and then lock in the luff to my mast. a. what's this thing called? b. where do i get another?

Terry, In my owners manual...

for a Hunter 26 the piece is called a "stop pin" and can probable be found at a West Marine Store or any other boat outfitting store. Good luck. Ray

a gate, according to some guys at fawcett. bought a short one there and for the regular size, go to your rigger. thanks for the response.

Could be two things

Terry If you are referring to the piece that holds the tack of the mainsail it's a tack hook. If it's the piece that keeps the sail from falling out of the track, it's often referred to as a track slide stop. You can find the parts at West Marine, Boat US or other chandlery. I included the url for the part at westmarine - but I don't know what size you need. Chris PS Always buy two, especially if it's the part you need. They seem to jump into the water if you only have one.

Slide Stop, but not from West Marine.

Terry: I think Chris is correct, you are looking for the Slide Stop. I do not believe that you are going to find it at West Marine. There is someone in S.C. that has parts for the ISOMAT Spar. You may be able to get it from them. I cannot remember who that is. You may be able to find it in the archives.
