Mysterious washer, Yanmar 2GM20F

I had a remanufactured Yanmar 2GM installed last winter. Engine now has ~ 20 hrs on it and is running quite well. But after the last time out, I discovered what I think is a copper (or brass?) washer lying directly beneath the engine. It's ~ 1” in diameter (image attached). I don't see any obvious place where it came from. Does anyone recognize this, know what it's function is?
Thanks,
Matt

Yup, old crush washer for an injector. When an injector is pulled and replaced there needs to be a new”crush” washer installed. If not installed the fuel would be squirting out.

Left over part. If it fell off from somewhere you would see fuel shooting all over.

good luck

Nope, no fuel shooting anywhere to my knowledge. :)

It is indeed an injector crush washer, which was replaced when the mechanics tested the compression of the reman engine. Not sure why it showed up now, 20 engine hours and 6 months after it was installed. After going through what I went through with my old engine (long, long story), I tend to be a little hypersensitive to any apparent anomaly in the new one! PTSD maybe??

Anyhow, thanks much for all the replies.
