I've got some damage on my genoa. The sail is getting a little long in the tooth but otherwise still seems to be in pretty decent shape.

I snagged it on the spreader base a couple of times yesterday, and probably several times in the past but this time if got hung up hard and did some damage.

I think it is a mylar sail but being a rookie I'm not sure what it is or how to repair. I'm hoping tofind a way to fix it myself.

I had to tweak the exposure settings a little so the sail isn't quite a grundgy along the tack as it may look in the pics.

A shot of the sail itself for construction/type ID.

There seems to be a couple of spots that need attention

Here is the logo on the sail, I've tried to find out the maker but so far wth out any luck.

that rip is in a bad spot... you can try lots of sail tape. mby the kevlar type.

Stop by a sailmaker and get some big pieces of what he will call 'sticky back' . Place two big pieces, one on each side of the damage. It's a good idea anyway in sails that can contact the spreaders to have a protective patch there.

PS - you are probably trimming too hard!

That looks pretty beat up. That's a big area. The guys at the club use the kevlar/mylar repair tape to keep their sails going. They are pretty fragile.
