..not to be confused with "the old man and the sea". This is about a father and son (and cat..Tiger) in the 1980s who sail from New England, Panama Canal, Horn, and back home on a boat less than 30ft without a motor. They were the first Americans to sail the Horn on a boat less than 30ft. Fun reading if you have nothing else to do. abe

Very good read

An easy read not great literature but fun to read on those rainy nights aboard. We sail by the house they built on the rocks in New London Harbor.

Anchor Down

Piss in the Hot Water Bottle? "Very British."

And they went the "wrong" way, if I'm not mistaken. A great light read for anyone who is a son, or the father of a son. (But if you pick up Papa Hemingway by mistake, that's a good read, too.) Jeff gives this book three (out of four) bells.

I too enjoyed this one

My brother gave me this book for Christmas one year. I enjoyed it and passed it on to my son, who enjoyed it as well.
