I have a 1995 Hunter 40.5 and a leaky connection where the shower snakelike hose coupling attaches under the sink--its the small rubber washer that is the culprit so the leak is behind the coupling. I am having trouble finding a suitable replacement washer--I have gone ahead and used some marine clear sealant and will know next time I go down to the boat whether or not it works. Meanwhile looking for a replacement washer.

I also have a 40.5 (1997) and I had the crimp of the coupling to the hose fail- this sounds slightly different from your leak. The manufacturer (I can't remember who, would have to check with the on-board documentation)was very responsive and provided me a replacement at no charge. Based upon my hose problem, my practice is to always turn the faucet valves off so that the hose is not left pressurized when not in use.

Supply, link below. They sell spare parts for the Grohe fixtures, which I'm pretty sure you have. Very helpful and seem to know what we have in these boats. (Hard to find these parts otherwise, because they come from Germany I believe.) While you're at it, replace the entire hose (or go ahead and order one to have on hand.) At 10 years old the rubber in mine went out shortly after it started leaking.
