I having a problem with my McGregor I have already finished the bottom it's all painted and nice now I have to put the keel on but I don't know is the Keel pen half gasket in the outside of the housing or inside does anybody have this job done before can anybody help me Wiz information maybe pictures I really don't know what to do at this point please help thank you

The rubber gaskets and conical washers go on the outside of the keel trunk, inside the cabin.
The conical washers should be concave side in.

At the bottom is a drawing of the keel pivot bolt assembly. Bolt head goes to portside.

@justsomeguy is correct. The gasket goes against the keel trunk and the washer then mashes the gasket against the keel trunk making it water tight.
If you want to build your own gasket, get some "goop" from Lowes and make a masking tape damn around the washer. Then fill it in with goop and let it dry over night. I've done this... it works great. See pics.
