My first good Sail

We finally got to take our Hunter 25.5 out in a decent breeze. It was blowing between 12 and 15 knots at the lake. The boat handled great. After reading a few post my wife and I were a little testy on what to expect. The last few months the boat has only seen wind up to around 8 knots. We first put up the 105 head sail and cooked around 4 knots. Then I talked her into reefing the main. Cooking around 5. 25 to 5. 75 knots. Then I easied into a full main and was able to hit 6.5 knots and 25 degree heel. With a heel up to 30 degrees when we were testing out the limits. Very suprised how good it sailed after all the work we put into her. Now for some better sails and a roller furling and our job will be 85% done.

Awsome!

I find my 25.5 loves 14-16 knot winds. Gets to 6kts and feels very comfortable, probably 20-25 degrees of heel (my heel meter does not work, so just a guess). No reefs in that wind, roller furl jib, full mail. Been wanting to get out my 150% to see what it can do in somewhat lighter air. Just had one of those great days two weeks ago with my brother & Dad on board. By the way, had her out in 25kts, gusting to 30kts, small craft advisory, main reefed, jib reefed (rolled up 1/2 way), boat could take it better than I could.
