My 10 year old boat has moisture in the deck near the chain plates and stanchions. On the meter some areas register wet, in other areas they are moist. The deck seems really strong and will support my weight, it doesn't seem to give or sink under weight. I took out the upper chainplates and I have some soft wood there. I left the area exposed to dry but I don't think the entire area will dry. If there is an area with a radius of 1 foot around the chainplates that is wet how can I ever dry it out? If it doesn't dry out is there a problem? Thanks.
