Look complex for a beginner. That will nice.

It almost looked like a picture that was converted to 8 bit pixel, but then theres those nice angles. Cool!

Well... Anna is not quite a beginner. My wife has been sewing her whole life and she made the Star of Papillon spinnaker that is my avatar and Anna has been along for the ride with all of that sewing. My daughter did the geometry for the cross arms and center point on the sail as part of her geometry homework (home schooled so it was easy to talk the "teacher" into the added work.) Anna started her first quilt when she was about 6-years old although she never finished that one. My wife finished it as a baby present for our first grandbaby.
Anna also designed a comforter and finished that last year.

Quilt making is a lovely craft. Do you have a quilting frame? Makes it a lot easier to make. There is a special Quilters knot - has the lowest profile of any knot you can make.

I have a sister-in-law who quilts for competition. Quilting is an amazing art. All the best to your daughter for her new passion.

Old quilts can bring in a ton of money on Antique Roadshow. I'm thinking future heirlooms....

Hayden, when your daughter finishes a square, you WILL post a picture of it here, if you can, right? I know we all want to see.
