The back rests (if you can call them that) on the stern rail seats of the h26 are really uncomfortable. We've tried wrapping them with pipe insulation held with zip ties, but that doesn't work well. Before I wrap them with pipe insulation and UV protected sail tape, does anyone have a better idea? Thank you!

been there

I did the economical route you did also, then went to the ships store here onsite and bought the "real" ones-they look good and seem well made. The comfort is the same as homemade but they look like they will last a long time. I think part of the problem whether you have the back cushions or not is ergonomics. The spot where it supports your back is the boniest part of the back and it tends to dig in a little.

I went to the sporting goods store where thsy sell weight room equipment and purchased two "padded tubes." Normally they are used for padding the bar when lifting heavy wieghts. They are about 12" long, covered with heavy black nylon fabric and close with velcro. Jim Loats S/V Grizzly Bear

Found similar item at the bicycle shop...

Bought tubular pads with velcro covers. Intended to pad the bar that makes a boys bike different from a girls. Many color choices.
