I have a problem with mud dauber wasps getting into the boat and making mud nests everywhere. Mostly they seem to get in thru the companionway. Any ideas how to seal this? I have an oday 25 and inside by the gunnels on each side is fiberglass overhang that has a slot behind it. The daubers go into that slot and make their nests. Also I have leaks where drips from this cavity. I am chaulking topside fittings to hopefully stop the leaks. What would happen if I try to fill these voids with spray in expanding foam insulation? It seems it would eliminate one area where the mud daubers nest and help squeeze out a place where water comes into the cabin. Anyone have ideas?
