Going to Cuba

Most pundits will tell you that the average length of most boats cruising around the world is 28 feet and a Hunter 27 is a pretty capable little boat. So, that being said, can a Hunter 27, properly outfitted and in good repair traverse 90 miles of open ocean under favorable conditions? My opinion is that it should be able to meet that mission. Of course, your intentions to sail to Cuba might be a little more suspect. Pretty much the entire world goes to Cuba except for the U.S. and I figure things will pretty much stay that way as long as the Cuban ex-pats, Castro and the Kennedys are alive. Under certain circumstances, it's even legal for U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba and there's a group of U.S. sailors who've taken their boats there and met with a modicum of hospitality and negligible hassel from the local federales. All I can say is, good luck to you.
