moving outboard kicker to tiller position

Dear Macgregor owners,
Is it possible to move an outboard motor from port-side position as a kicker to rudder/tiller position as main power and steering on a 25 ft macgregor sailboat?
I am currently using a 9.9 honda 4 stroke long shaft as the kicker.
I know i would have to reinforce the transom but I am not clear as to what kind of outboard motor bracket and cable system I would have to install.

Your knowledge and information is always appreciated.

Thanks for the Father's Day wish, hope you had a good one too. Did you get out on the water. It was dreary all day. Beautiful Saturday and today but overcast Sunday.
I'm not clear what you are looking for in moving your mount? There are plenty of threads that discuss linking your rudder to your ob for steerage. As far as remotes are concerned throttle/shift contols can be hooked up with little hassle. So can electric start if you use some quick disconnect plugs for power, ground, start wire, and kill switch wire. Someone on this forum moved his motor to the middle and added a rudder on each side.
