In order to make some room for even a minimally-sized bimini on my '83 C 25 FK TR, I would like to move my mainsheet from its current location on the transom of the boat to just aft of the cabin door. I have looked around my marina, and have observed that most of the other boats with this configuration have a traveler track that is about four feet long, so this is what what I am planning on using. Also, I plan on using a "high beam" track because about two feet of the track will be unsupported. I want to use as much of the existing hardware as possible. I don't race. I just cruise, so I don't need anything but the most basic rig. Can anyone suggest what parts and/or kit that I will need to buy to do this? And what is the best way to waterproof the boat once I drill holes in the hull for the track? I have ZERO leaks right now, and I want to keep it that way. Also, what is the best way to attach the rigging to the boom --and where? I look forward to hearing from all of you rig-meisters out there! D

Here's my post on the C25 site of how I solved the problem. After two years, it works great. Brooke
