Move the Traveler?

Has anyone moved the traveler bar on a cat 22' to any place other than the stern. Like maybe the mid-cockpit, or at the foot of the companionway, or even on top of the cabin, anywhere but on the ass end of the boat. If so could you give details and or pictures. I want to do this if it is feasible.

Boom Strength Considerations

You'd better check the type and strength of your boom before considering moving the traveler. Some booms aren't strong enuf to handle a companionway or cabin deck sheeting position.
