Mounting TV antenna

I just bought a Sheakespeare 2025 TV antenna from West Marine, and I'm looking for any insight/help on the best place to mount it on a Hunter 290 (or thereabout). How difficult is it to mount on the mast or spreaders? Preferences? Instructions? How does one run the cable through the mast and not entangle it with the halyards, topping lift, etc.? Forgive the generalities to the question, but I've never done anything like this before. Thanks in advance, Palmer

Will you use the TV at dock, or anchored out?

try the antenna mounted temporarily (duct tape?) on the rear of the boat - transom area. That may provide sufficient reception, and be a lot easier than a mast mount. When I mounted a radio antenna on my 33', it was when the boat was being commissioned and the mast was laying flat in the boat yard - very easy to do with a "messenger" line. There are a number of important considerations attendant upon proper mounting of antennas on masts that should be covered in detail in the instructions included with the antenna or in literature available elsewhere.
