I removed my swim ladder to repaint the stern. . . any thoughts on the best way to remount it - should I just bolt it back on, or should I use a caulk/adhesive?

If the stern is solid fiberglass then you can just rebolt. If it's wood core, countersink the bolt hole, wrap butyl tape around bolt then install. The butyl will fill in the space you countersunk and will give you a good seal.

There is probably coring above the water line. Regardless, I would either us caulk or butyl (preferred) to prevent water from ever getting inside the boat.

The 33 C transom is NOT corred. Trust me. At least in the 12 holes I have drilled in mine I have not found core in it.
