DH and I are refurbishing a 63' C24, and were wondering if we could get away with outfitting her with a short shaft as opposed to a long-shaft? Any advice would be appreciated, though dh's preoccupation with motors has me pondering if I shouldn't just sink all the available funds into a top of the line lifeboat....
