Hello, Since we have purchased the boat our YSM-12 has always vibrated a significant amount. At first I thought it was the drive shaft, but it mainly vibrates sitting in neutral. Is it possible to get replacement rubber motor mounts or is this not the right answer? Thank You for any help.

I bought new mounts for mine. Have the same engine. Haven't put them on yet. This is the nature of this engine.

motor mounts

can be found through Mack Boring, and possibly diesel direct or Torreson Marine. I haven't had the vibration problem (yet), but I know where to find parts for the YSM-12.

Had that same problem to, just fixed it :)

yep had that same problem and what I did was since it was about that time the mounts had to be replaced due to the fact that the rubber inside the mounts was badly degraded so I replace all four mounts but the kicker is I took a angle iron and mounted it across the front of the engine to the exsisting angle mounts sorta like a stablizer bar. Man it made a world of difference it ran smoother and best of all the vibration was decrease I'd say about 70%, My wife even told me that little up grade was well worth it she was very pleased we can actually have a conversation with each other in the saloon while under way and not have to talk over that vibration. Now I'm thinking of going a little further and attach two additional bars coming from that bar to the floor...hummmmmmmm back to the drawing board. Good Luck!!!
