I need to replace the motor mount on my Hunter 19. Is there something better than bolting another piece of wood to the stern. I saw the mount on a Hunter 26. It had stainless brackets the added 3 inches of standout for the stern and the mount was made of 1 1/2 plastic board. Any ideas on how and where? Questions to huntermarine.com have gone unanswered

Good question

I kinda got hammered recently when I asked what people thought about using an adjustable bracket! I'll be interested in what sorts of ideas you get. The mount on the 26 you mentioned, was that live or here in cyberspace? Link is to that previous thread. ----- Kevin s/v Grasshopper Hunter 23.5 Brownsville, VT

Link w/ multiple mounts

I did a quick and dirty google search and found multiple OEM mounts. I had a Catalina 22 with an adjustable mount. I placed a Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke (about 90 lbs) on it. Catalina rated the mount at 100 lbs. This was a big motor for that boat, but I had a river channel that took me 45 min to travel to get to the sailing lake.
