Hey Sailors..We're docked in a small channel off Lake Erie and must motor out to sail. I've got a small 5hp motor but I am concerned that doing such could possibly damage the transom. Any feedback is welcome.
Excuse my ingnorance, but in order to help on this one, please disclose the size and model of your sailboat and if the 5-hp motor is mounted to a motor mount bracket, or if it is directly clamped to the transom, e.g. the way most outboards are clamped/mounted to small fishing boats. Thanks _/)
