Motor Mount Bracket for 3GM30F torque specs

Going to be replacing the motor mounts on my Hunter 336 3GM30F over the winter and plan to take the approach of removing the brackets that attach the mounts to the engine. Does anyone have the torque specs for attaching the brackets back to the engine? I am usually of the school that torques the bolt until the head snaps off then backs off a quarter of a turn. Think I would like to try a better approach. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I think this may have what you need. It was written for keel bolts but it is my understanding that torque is related to the bolt size and not the application.

I've never tried that method. Got to wonder if it's a little time more consuming though  .

The only reason you may want to torque the bolts to the max. is to avoid having them back out due to vibration. The max. torque is based on the grade of the bolt used. The above chart is for SS bolts which is lower than the carbon steel bolts used on the Yanmar.

This is copied from my Yanmar shop manual :

And agrees with all of the itemized bolts listed for the engine. Interpolate where required.

In an application like this, I use blue Locktite.

Super info and just what I need. Yes, Ralph, that method is a tad more time consuming plus the grandkids learn a whole lot of words they should not be learning!
