Careful. Many Chinese copies on line at Amazon and Ebay. They are about half price of the real item. Just bought a Seastar single lever dual function controller from Defender for $300. Made of chrome plated brass. Chinese models are made of chrome plated Zinc. Zinc! Seastar unit is a thing of beauty.
I purchased the Seastar MT-3 Single Lever Dual Function Controller Model Number CH5310P. I have a further comment about this controller based on my short experience of just one season. The chrome plating is ridiculously thin. Four months after installing, the controller finish was all pitted and ugly. Seastar opined that it was my fault for not waxing the thing. I mentioned that my 12 year old truck has no pitting on any chrome parts despite exposure to road salt. Seastar graciously provided a new replacement, stating, however, that I would not get another. This, after I asked if I should replace it every four months. Put three coats of auto paste wax on the new one and installed it this Spring. Two months and it is already showing pits in the chrome finish. Mechanically it works. Installation instructions are adequate. No mention of waxing in the instructions BTW. Disappointed in this manufacturer. This problem can easily be solved by laying on a bit more chrome. Compare to a typical auto side view mirror application. They do not care. Four months of service and all pitted.
