OOF! I hope they put some non-skid on that two ft wide ultra high gloss, black toe/cap rail and 10ft wide cabin top. Imagine leaning on or stepping on that surface in the hot equatorial sun. Why do you need so many tables on a boat deck? I guess they do keep you from being thrown across the cockpit. Is that Kika and Dan on the sugar swim platform? I dont see any innovation in the design. It looks like a carbon copy of a Beneteau. They could of at least made a unique window shape to not make it look like an uninspired copy of another boat. Its not an ugly boat, it just doesnt look like a boat from someone leading the pack, but someone following the pack. It will be interesting to see the final design/build and to see if they continue to produce a modern, but more mundane affordable 'sailboats'.

Is it really in production? Is the factory actually in operation and building boats? It is a common pattern over the years for a California boatbuilder to sell to someone in the South before they close entirely. PSC and even Macgregor both "sold" before ceasing production. Long ago when introduced to the "new" and last owner of International Marine I thought "what a terrible investment, you might lose all your money slower building Potters but you are still going to lose it."

Catalina hasn't been about luxury before.
Based on the proliferation of Cats, I can't see this going well unless Catalina starts building them.
