moorings available in the NY finger lakes?

hi, my wife and i live in the hudson valley in new york but we wish to keep our boat in the finger lakes region to be close to her family. am having a difficult time locating moorings. due to the distance involved we cannot afford to travel back and forth as well as pay the price of a full service marina. we're hoping to find a thriftier alternative, i.e. renting a mooring. any info would be appreciated. if anyone who sails seneca or cayuga lakes has any suggestions we'd be very grateful. thank you.

Tough to find

Moorings are tough to find on Cayuga or Seneca. The Skaneateles Sailing Club may have some (315-685-7541) as they have no slips. You can also try the Skaneateles Marina on the west side at 315-685-5095. I sail on Cayuga Lake and the only possible moorings available are down near Ithaca. There's nothing on the north end unless you do a marina.
