Hi, As long I keep getting answers I'm gonna keep asking questions. Thanks for the previous responses. What is the best way to attach a line to my boat from my mooring? I just replaced the U bolt which is used to tie the winch to but I'm wondering if I shouldn't tie off on the forward deck via a cleat and whatever you call the hardware that keeps the line in "place". Any thoughts? -tap

Cleat it off

I don't know of any reason not to tie it off on the trailor bow eye but I would use one of the two mooring cleats located at the bow under the pulpit.. It's much easier to get to and can be tied off and released with a lot less trouble too. Happy Sailing Mate.

Use Both

Use both the "eyebolt" and the cleat. I have a longer line on the "eyebolt" so if the cleat line ever breaks, which happenned once, the second line will kick in, keeping the boat from sailing away on its own.
