I keep my boat( 2002 Hunter 306) on a permanent mooring in a tight mooring field. The location of the cleats are so far back that the boat doesn't swing right.I thought about putting guides farther forward to route the mooring line closer to the bow,but there doesn't appear to be an accessable spot.I removed the anchor and now route the line over the roller to the cleat in the anchor locker.Any better ideas?

Padeye

You could have a padeye installed on the nose of the bow below the deck-line and hook up there. Of the people I have seen do this, the padeye usually serves as a reserve mooring tie-off and is also usually wire not rope.
