Moor Electronics Depth Meter

I am having a case of crazy readings on my Moor Depth Finder model LDC. One moment it reads fine, then the next it reads huge numbers, going to 0.00 and then .17, blank and then after a while again reading normal. Power to the unit reads 12V. RCA connector is clean. Anyone have the solution?

I would say check to be sure all connections are in top shape. Sounds like resistive buildups in your power lines. Check all connections for the transducer as well.

Was able to find a new thru hull transducer at Bacon Sails in Annapolis, MD. That fixed the issue. Feeding it through to the gauge was a lot of fun!

I had a similar problem years ago. It turned out a beer can had rolled up against the transducer. Drank beer, problem solved.
