Has anyone ever seen/ experienced mold formation in the padding area of a beneteau sail (particulaly roller furling genoa.) I have kept a prior boat in this same site for five years and never expereinced thisproblem. Other boats around mine did not have this problem. The formation happened in the second season with a new sail. It appears the foam is not treated so if fungal growth gets in it takes over. The growth is between the sail and the other piece of material covering over the foam.
