My adler barbour is nine years old. Some times the fan would come on, but not the compresser. I was told that this was probably the electronic module, because adler barbour had contracted with a company that made the modules and they were faulty. I bought a module from R parts and was told that was not one of those modules. The refridgeration worked better, not shutting off as often, but now seems to be were it was before. Should I replace the module or buy a complete new unit? What is the cost of a new module, and are these modules that will work properly?

modules

In the early 90's Danfoss introduced the BD3 series compressor and 30 series module. We, and everyone else using them, began to experience problems with the modules in the late 90's. Chances are RPARTS sold you the same type module, probably the 102N3033. We used the 102N3030 & 31. They were all subject to the same failures. We began manufacturing our own control module a few years ago (our AB3016). Service techs in the field often refer to it as the "Super Module". Contact customercare@waecousa.com for more information or the dealer nearest you. Should you decide to purchase one, I guarantee your module problems will be over.
