You've done a lot of work to your boat!I saw the outboard control and thoughts of a plugged drain causing water to get in the cable hole crossed my mind. I dismissed the idea of commenting earlier but then I read the posts in another thread regarding excessive heeling. Even if your drain never plugged up with debris, I think it might be possible to temporarily overwhelm the drain by heeling too much or even a very heavy downpour.I'd just like to suggested that your seal around the cables to keep the water out of your boat.
I have considered the issue of water getting in the cable tube. The pipe is angled upward a few inches just in case. I will be stuffing the pipe to keep insects from nesting and water from flowing. I might use some non-expanding foam. It is much cleaner and can easily be removed. But the jury is not out on that issue yet. In terms of healing, I doubt that I ever get over that much, my wife would kill me plus it does not excite me that much either.
Ha Ha,If you don't want to heel, you sure picked the wrong boat. Don't get me wrong, I love mine, but the first 15 degrees of heel are just due to gravity. After that, you will have to really reduce sail to keep it from heeling. You will find that the boat will spill much of the force when heeled, but you will heel in any kind of wind. And that's a good thing! John S Boise
